more pics!

The other morning, on my way to prayer, I saw a house on my left with what looked like giant snowflakes, and when I came along side, it was a blooming cactus!  I pulled a U-turn and went back and took this photo with my phone camera.  The next day, I brought my regular camera and took the top two photos.  I was praying that the owner of the house wouldn't think I was "up to something" because I was pretty close to their house.....Anyway, isn't God's creation awesome!  Hallelujah.

My next post will have more pics of the new church.

Well, it has been a bit of time since I posted on this blog.  I have a list of bloggers to follow and have been reading theirs though.  My camera broke on a trip to Minnesota and finally got another one and am back in the picture taking business.  Right now the spring desert flowers are blooming.  We have several cactus species in our yard and the prickly pear cactus is blooming.
And there is a bird nest in our other cactus on one of the dead branches.
Somebody figured it was a cactus wren.  The weather is finally starting to warm up.  Triple digits are expected today and next, then going back to normals of 80s.

Our church is in a new building and I have a couple photos of the inside, but haven't had the camera with me to take more than these.

Our first service was April 1, 2012, the athiest's holiday (anyone that doesn't believe in God is a fool!).

Song of Solomon 1-8:14 (New King James Version)

This includes all the chapters.  A year ago, we had a 6 or 8 week video series that explained it in relation to marriage.  It was powerful, and verrrrrrrry funny.

Great weekend.  Outreaches, fellowship with new converts and old converts, people got saved!  It was wonderful.

This coming weekend, we will be going to a marriage retreat - and my birthday is coming up so we are spending an extra day at the hotel.

Proverbs 22:17-24:34 (New King James Version)

My sister received a good report on her test!  Hallelujah.

My nephew received a telephone call for a job interview!  Hallelujah.

Lord Jesus, I lift up this day to Your glory.

Today's Bible reading had to do with staying away from people with temper problems, drinking, not loaning money to them, or co-signing loans.

Prv 24
33 A little sleep, a little slumber,
A little folding of the hands to rest;
34 So shall your poverty come like a prowler,
And your need like an armed man.

Oswald Chambers today:  The Secret of the Lord

Are we listening to what He will say to us, or are we too busy telling Him what we need???????

Proverbs 17-19:29 (New King James Version)

Better is a dry morsel than feeding with strife.  Whewwwwwww.  I can say yes and amen to that.

Today I am praying for a good report from a test that my dear sister is having this morning.  It is very unsettling to have a physical manifestation of something that isn't right and through faith in the most high living God, we press on.  Lord Jesus, I lift her up in intercessory prayer.  I bind every lying spirit of infirmity that is trying to come against her.  You hold her in the palm of Your hand, that her appointed days here on earth will be long because of how much she is blessing those she touches on a daily basis.

I thank you for favor I have on my job and I ask for clarity in my duties to stay ahead of the game, that You stay ahead of me, telling me where the mistakes are so I can change them before they become mistakes.  I also ask for an open door to share the Good News with my co-workers.

I lift up my sister Jennifer, as she chooses to live for You.  Give her wisdom and guidance as she raises her daughter to be a child of God.

Most of all I lift up my husband.  God bless this precious man, as he chooses to live for You.  Help him, strengthen and encourage him.

Prv 17:
28 Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace;
When he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive.

hahaha, I like this verse.   It is so true too.  Better to keep the mouth shut and the ears open.  You have two ears and one mouth.  More listening should be done.  Out of the mouth come issues of the heart, so, if your heart is black with sin, it needs to be washed with the red of Jesus' blood to make it clean and running properly again!

Proverbs 19

1 Better is the poor who walks in his integrity
Than one who is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.

Here we go again, the day to NOT be a fool!  Every day is a good day to NOT be a fool!

29 Judgments are prepared for scoffers,
And beatings for the backs of fools.

Proverbs 20-22:16 (New King James Version)

Proverbs 20

1 Wine is a mocker,
Strong drink is a brawler,
And whoever is led astray by it is not wise.
Know any brawlers out there?  What have they been doing?  It was preached over the pulpit recently that if someone manifests on you when you are speaking reasonably, that they have not been reading the Bible, where there is Godly wisdom.

3 It is honorable for a man to stop striving,
Since any fool can start a quarrel.

Proverbs 21

2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,
But the LORD weighs the hearts.
Oswald Chambers today - We must be haunted by God instead of anything else that tries to haunt us.  Why?  Because He will haunt us with His blessings of wisdom, comfort, boldness, love, righteousness, not our past mistakes that try to overwhelm us, or other things that just try to take over.

Thank you Lord for saving my soul.

Proverbs 14-16:33 (New King James Version)

Proverbs 15

1 A soft answer turns away wrath,
But a harsh word stirs up anger.

Oh, yes, how very true.  Today, though, sometimes all you have to do is to say a trigger word to stir up anger.

My Utmost for the day - "God First"

Never trust anything but the grace of God in yourself or in anyone else.

When God's needs in us have been met, then He will open the way for us to realize His needs elsewhere.

God's ultimate purpose is that His Son might be manifested in my mortal flesh.

Well, that's a pretty good purpose for our lives!

Oooooooo, Proverbs are so awesome!

Memorial Day it is.  Thank you to all the past, present, and future military veterans who did, have, and will serve to defend our nation.  Thank you to those Christian veterans who did, have, and will serve the most high living God.  We are at war, always, against principalities and powers, spiritual wickedness in heavenly places, and above all, our hearts, which are above all wicked and evil and need cleansing by the precious blood of Jesus Christ.  The hope that is Jesus Christ, hallelujah!
