Proverbs 14-16:33 (New King James Version)

Proverbs 15

1 A soft answer turns away wrath,
But a harsh word stirs up anger.

Oh, yes, how very true.  Today, though, sometimes all you have to do is to say a trigger word to stir up anger.

My Utmost for the day - "God First"

Never trust anything but the grace of God in yourself or in anyone else.

When God's needs in us have been met, then He will open the way for us to realize His needs elsewhere.

God's ultimate purpose is that His Son might be manifested in my mortal flesh.

Well, that's a pretty good purpose for our lives!

Oooooooo, Proverbs are so awesome!

Memorial Day it is.  Thank you to all the past, present, and future military veterans who did, have, and will serve to defend our nation.  Thank you to those Christian veterans who did, have, and will serve the most high living God.  We are at war, always, against principalities and powers, spiritual wickedness in heavenly places, and above all, our hearts, which are above all wicked and evil and need cleansing by the precious blood of Jesus Christ.  The hope that is Jesus Christ, hallelujah!

Proverbs 1-4:27 (New King James Version)

Ahhhhhhh, Memorial Day weekend comin' up!  This is always my favorite weekend because the rest of the year is cake!  Holidays galore!  Unless you are one of those lucky folks who works for government or some such industry that has 11 holidays, this is the first day off since Jan 1.

Now, let's see what the Proverbs have to say about living life, His way, hallelujah!

The Beginning of Knowledge

The Value of Wisdom
Proverbs 2
10 When wisdom enters your heart,
And knowledge is pleasant to your soul,

Good morning bloggggggggggggggg!

Well, I didn't blog yesterday, but the Bible reading was on Solomon's blessings of the tabernacle, and, once again, God reassured him, that if he would walk in His ways, and obey and worship Him, that all would go well.

It is the same for us, if we walk in His ways, obey and worship Him, He will orchestrate circumstances on our behalf that we will never see what is strategized against us, hallelujah!

Oh yeah, I forgot, Solomon gave Hiram (the man who orchestrated the tabernacle and his house) 20 cities as payment.  So Hiram goes to look at the cities and calls them "good for nothing."  Was his heart already turning?

2 Chronicles 8:1-18; 1 Kings 9:15-10:13; 2 Chronicles 9:1-12; 1 Kings 10:14-29; 2 Chronicles 9:13-28; 2 Chronicles 1:14-17 (New King James Version)

Solomon's Additional Achievements

This is the house that Solomon built for Pharoah's daughter to live in as his wife.  She could not live in his house because she was not an Israelite.

The Queen of Sheba's Praise of Solomon

Solomon's Great Wealth

1 Kings 4:1-34; Psalm 72; Psalm 127 (New King James Version)

Solomon's Administration

Prosperity and Wisdom of Solomon's Reign

A Song of Ascents. Of Solomon.
1 Unless the LORD builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;
Unless the LORD guards the city,
The watchman stays awake in vain.
2 It is vain for you to rise up early,
To sit up late,
To eat the bread of sorrows;
For so He gives His beloved sleep

We must have the LORD involved in EVERYTHING.  There is nothing else.

Back to blogging, woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!

I'm baaaaaaack finally.  The rapture didn't happen on May 21, which is a good thing for our wedding couple who were just finishing up their reception at around 6 p.m.  How totally presumptuous for someone to think that they could "figure out God".  When He said that no one knows the day or the hour, I totally believe that is what He meant.  And, I also believe that He will NEVER let Jesus split the eastern sky on a day that someone has predicted.  Oh how glorious that day will be, can ya say yes and amen.

I have a new computer and my other one will be getting fixed one of these fine days and I am praying that my stuff will still be there, but if it isn't, I guess I just didn't need it, huh.  Anyway, I have been keeping up on my Bible readings, but just haven't been able to get back to blogging it, but will start again today.

1 Kings 7:1-51; 2 Chronicles 3:15-4:22 (New King James Version)
Solomon's Other Buildings (he has finished building the Lord's house, and once again, God has told him that if he will follow Him, He will bless him and all his house.)  That is God's promise always, that if we will follow Him, He will bless us and all our house.  Thank You!

The buildings were made of cedar and stones done by craftsmen.

Hiram the Craftsman

He had skill in bronze work.

The Bronze Pillars for the Temple

Lilies, pomegranetes, lattice work, wreaths of chainwork.  I can't even imagine how ornate that must have been.  God's inspiration on how He creates things is so totally awesome!

The Ark Brought into the Temple

When the ark was placed in the temple, the Glory of the Lord filled it so that the priests could no longer minister in it.  God's presence was so overwhelming, hallelujah.  Lord I long to seek your face!

Invited my next door neighbor to Mother's Day church, we are having family photos - I hope she comes.  We are having a spa day on Saturday and I hope whoever she gives the flyer to comes.  It will be a great time for whoever makes it, hallelujah.

David’s Census of Israel and Judah
God inspired David to number the people. Joab said it wasn't a good thing, but David's order was above his.  And, in Chronicles 21, it says Satan told David to go number the people.

The Judgment on David’s Sin
David Prepares to Build the Temple
He starts getting the materials needed so Solomon can build the temple.
Good morning,
Well, I never finished yesterday's reading, sooooooo, will continue today with it.
I was successful in ordering the photo card for my camera!  The first time I ordered it, it was going to be shipped to our address in Corvallis, OR - wahhhhhhhhhh, noooooooooooooooo.  Anyway, instead of shipping it to a different address, they canceled the order and refunded my money.  So, I ordered it again and they took my money and sent me a shipping notice, hallelujah!  Ebay rocks!  I never get into those auction things, I use the buy-it-now, and try to get free shipping too.

There is major renovation going on at our complex - new roofs, paint, pool fixing up, etc.  So, yesterday they were working on our roof annnnnnnnnndddddddddd, we get home and the air conditioning isn't on.  So, Scott looks and the breaker is off.  He turns the breaker on, annnnnnnnnndddddddd, the fan turns on, but - after awhile, it isn't cooling - it's a good thing the hot weather hasn't hit yet, can ya say amen!  Anyway, something happened on the roof yesterday that they will fix today so we have air conditioning.  It's nice out - slept with the patio door open all night for circulation.  It is so awesome to live in the back corner of the complex where the patio is hidden.  I haven't looked around, but I'll bet it's the only one.  I could be wrong though, there's 550 apartments here, but God sure blessed us with this little corner of the world, during these end times.

Two days in a row we finished with all the mail that came in for the day.  I guess that's pretty much how it is when everyone is at work (not out because of illness, vacation, appointments).  It's nice not coming in to find the 6 ft table piled 3 feet high and 4 or 5 feet long with large envelopes and those long boxes of business sized envelopes staring at us.  I ordered a couple different sizes of staple removers and am totally in love with both of them.  I also got a set of letter opener/scissors too.  The ones the company furnish are the economical kind.  I figured the investment would save my hands.

Pray for Don and Connie and their families.  He is very ill and she is his wife and best friend.  Pray for healing and comfort through this period of their lives.  God is good.

There is a prayer group at church called Prodigal Prayers.  It is awesome because the people on the prayer list are those that used to come to church and have fallen away to their sin.  God has restored several precious people already, hallelujah.  There is a special evening twice a month for corporate prayer for these and others that have been added to the list.

Ok, let's get back into the word of the Most High Living God

2 Samuel 17:15-29; Psalm 3; Psalm 63; 2 Samuel 18-19:30 (New King James Version)

Hushai Warns David to Escape
Well, I never finished this post - finished most of the Bible reading, and skipped the next day of posting.

My sister wound up in a hospital, so am praying for her quick return to her home and duties.  God bless you, sis.

2 Samuel 17:15-29; Psalm 3; Psalm 63; 2 Samuel 18-19:30 (New King James Version)

Thank God for His grace and mercy.
Yesterday I was trying out my new "tools of the trade" for my job as "queen staple puller extraordinaire".  I was having a blast trying to decide if I liked them or not, and was spending the day opening, unfolding, sorting, all that.  At the last part of the day all of a sudden I went into slow-mo,  waaaaaaaaay dowwwwwwwwn in speed.  So my boss comes over and tells me I need to be faster on what I was doing.  Whatever, I like that word.  Anyway, I didn't offer any excuses because I don't know what her issue is, but no answer is the wisest thing.  I tried to speak to her about something before, and, let's just say, prayer is the only thing that works, because we definitely aren't speaking the same language, hallelujah.  Anyway, after that, we were done with the mail and she tells me I can go home early and then makes sure I get an eight hour day! What?????????!?!?!?!?  Like I said, thank God for His grace and mercy.

Remembering in prayer those precious souls in the tornado path this week, for their quick recovery, and that through all this they would cry out to God for help instead of man.

So, today is another day.
