Israel won't cross into Promised Land!

Numbers 14-15:41 (New King James Version)

Israel Refuses to Enter Canaan
So, the Israelites want to go back to Egypt, and Joshua and Caleb try to tell them that the land is truly a gift of God and they want to stone them!

Moses and prays for the Israelites.  God wants to kill em and start over.  Moses says it will get back to Egypt what has happened and to not do that.  So God relinquishes and says that generation will never see the Promised Land and turns them to the wilderness (desert) by Way of the Red Sea.

Because of their 40 day rebellion, they will spend one year for each day in the desert.  Anyone above the age of 20 will die in the desert.  Only Joshua and Caleb will live to see the Promised Land.

A Futile Invasion Attempt
So, the people changed their mind and repented and decided to go fight the Canaanites and Amalekites.  Moses told them not to go because the Lord was not with them.  They went anyway and were driven back.

If we decide to do our own will instead of God's will, we will not succeed to the level He has for us, if we have any manner of success at all.

Laws of Grain and Drink Offerings
Laws Concerning Unintentional Sin
Law Concerning Presumptuous Sin
31 "Because he has despised the word of the LORD, and has broken His commandment, that person shall be completely cut off; his guilt shall be upon him.’”

Well, there you have it, intentional sin will cause God to depart from your life.

Penalty for Violating the Sabbath
A man was found gathering sticks on the Sabbath.  He was stoned.

Tassels on Garments
Blue thread throughout tassels on garments - to remember to follow commandments of the Lord, and to not participate in harlotry.
