Jephthah’s Vow and Victory
Jephthah vowed to the Lord that he would offer as a burnt offering the first thing that came out of his house if He gave him victory over the Ammonites. He had victory of 20 cities!
Jephthah’s Daughter
The first "thing" that came out of his house when he got home was his only child, his daughter. He was very sad because he had made this vow to the Lord. She was not sad. She believed in the Lord.
