Today I am praying for a good report from a test that my dear sister is having this morning.  It is very unsettling to have a physical manifestation of something that isn't right and through faith in the most high living God, we press on.  Lord Jesus, I lift her up in intercessory prayer.  I bind every lying spirit of infirmity that is trying to come against her.  You hold her in the palm of Your hand, that her appointed days here on earth will be long because of how much she is blessing those she touches on a daily basis.

I thank you for favor I have on my job and I ask for clarity in my duties to stay ahead of the game, that You stay ahead of me, telling me where the mistakes are so I can change them before they become mistakes.  I also ask for an open door to share the Good News with my co-workers.

I lift up my sister Jennifer, as she chooses to live for You.  Give her wisdom and guidance as she raises her daughter to be a child of God. 

Most of all I lift up my husband.  God bless this precious man, as he chooses to live for You.  Help him, strengthen and encourage him.

hahaha, I like this verse.   It is so true too.  Better to keep the mouth shut and the ears open.  You have two ears and one mouth.  More listening should be done.  Out of the mouth come issues of the heart, so, if your heart is black with sin, it needs to be washed with the red of Jesus' blood to make it clean and running properly again!

Good morning bloggggggggggggggg!

Well, I didn't blog yesterday, but the Bible reading was on Solomon's blessings of the tabernacle, and, once again, God reassured him, that if he would walk in His ways, and obey and worship Him, that all would go well.

It is the same for us, if we walk in His ways, obey and worship Him, He will orchestrate circumstances on our behalf that we will never see what is strategized against us, hallelujah!

Oh yeah, I forgot, Solomon gave Hiram (the man who orchestrated the tabernacle and his house) 20 cities as payment.  So Hiram goes to look at the cities and calls them "good for nothing."  Was his heart already turning?

I'm baaaaaaack finally.  The rapture didn't happen on May 21, which is a good thing for our wedding couple who were just finishing up their reception at around 6 p.m.  How totally presumptuous for someone to think that they could "figure out God".  When He said that no one knows the day or the hour, I totally believe that is what He meant.  And, I also believe that He will NEVER let Jesus split the eastern sky on a day that someone has predicted.  Oh how glorious that day will be, can ya say yes and amen.

I have a new computer and my other one will be getting fixed one of these fine days and I am praying that my stuff will still be there, but if it isn't, I guess I just didn't need it, huh.  Anyway, I have been keeping up on my Bible readings, but just haven't been able to get back to blogging it, but will start again today.

Good morning,
Well, I never finished yesterday's reading, sooooooo, will continue today with it.
I was successful in ordering the photo card for my camera!  The first time I ordered it, it was going to be shipped to our address in Corvallis, OR - wahhhhhhhhhh, noooooooooooooooo.  Anyway, instead of shipping it to a different address, they canceled the order and refunded my money.  So, I ordered it again and they took my money and sent me a shipping notice, hallelujah!  Ebay rocks!  I never get into those auction things, I use the buy-it-now, and try to get free shipping too. 

There is major renovation going on at our complex - new roofs, paint, pool fixing up, etc.  So, yesterday they were working on our roof annnnnnnnnndddddddddd, we get home and the air conditioning isn't on.  So, Scott looks and the breaker is off.  He turns the breaker on, annnnnnnnnndddddddd, the fan turns on, but - after awhile, it isn't cooling - it's a good thing the hot weather hasn't hit yet, can ya say amen!  Anyway, something happened on the roof yesterday that they will fix today so we have air conditioning.  It's nice out - slept with the patio door open all night for circulation.  It is so awesome to live in the back corner of the complex where the patio is hidden.  I haven't looked around, but I'll bet it's the only one.  I could be wrong though, there's 550 apartments here, but God sure blessed us with this little corner of the world, during these end times.

Two days in a row we finished with all the mail that came in for the day.  I guess that's pretty much how it is when everyone is at work (not out because of illness, vacation, appointments).  It's nice not coming in to find the 6 ft table piled 3 feet high and 4 or 5 feet long with large envelopes and those long boxes of business sized envelopes staring at us.  I ordered a couple different sizes of staple removers and am totally in love with both of them.  I also got a set of letter opener/scissors too.  The ones the company furnish are the economical kind.  I figured the investment would save my hands. 

Pray for Don and Connie and their families.  He is very ill and she is his wife and best friend.  Pray for healing and comfort through this period of their lives.  God is good.

There is a prayer group at church called Prodigal Prayers.  It is awesome because the people on the prayer list are those that used to come to church and have fallen away to their sin.  God has restored several precious people already, hallelujah.  There is a special evening twice a month for corporate prayer for these and others that have been added to the list.

Yesterday I was trying out my new "tools of the trade" for my job as "queen staple puller extraordinaire".  I was having a blast trying to decide if I liked them or not, and was spending the day opening, unfolding, sorting, all that.  At the last part of the day all of a sudden I went into slow-mo,  waaaaaaaaay dowwwwwwwwn in speed.  So my boss comes over and tells me I need to be faster on what I was doing.  Whatever, I like that word.  Anyway, I didn't offer any excuses because I don't know what her issue is, but no answer is the wisest thing.  I tried to speak to her about something before, and, let's just say, prayer is the only thing that works, because we definitely aren't speaking the same language, hallelujah.  Anyway, after that, we were done with the mail and she tells me I can go home early and then makes sure I get an eight hour day! What?????????!?!?!?!?  Like I said, thank God for His grace and mercy.

Remembering in prayer those precious souls in the tornado path this week, for their quick recovery, and that through all this they would cry out to God for help instead of man. 

So, today is another day.

Today I am up early, started at 2:15 am, stayed up because I am awake, alert, and the song written and sung by Nicole C. Mullen "Redeemer" is going through my mind, especially where she is singing "He lives, He lives, I spoke with Him this morning early."  Oh, hallelujah!  Usually when this happens, there is a desperate need for prayer, so I cry out to God in intercession now, in Jesus' name for that need, whoever and wherever it is, for protection, inspiration, salvation, wisdom, healing.....

David had the Levites sanctify themselves for service to the Lord to prepare to bring the ark of God to Jerusalem.  As it was carried by the Levites there was great celebration, music and singing, and David danced with great joy before the Lord.

Wow, will ya look at that reading list!  I love reading the Bible chronologically.  It gives passages that are at the same time.  I used to read the Bible and think, "I've read this before," and go on, but never really thought much more on it.  Then when I started reading it this way, walla!  I really had read it before.  God's Word is written by man, at His inspiration, and He must have thought we needed to read it more than once, otherwise, it wouldn't be in there more than once.  Yah, I know none of us never need to hear things more than once to "get it" huh.  HAHA.  We are all a bunch of dumb sheep needing a Shepherd to lead us to safety because if we get away from the flock, we are in BIG trouble.

The Ark Brought from Kirjath Jearim

The ark which is God the LORD is being moved to Jerusalem on a cart managed by Ahio and Uzza, from the house of Abinadab.  The oxen stumble and Uzza touches the ark (God had directed that the ark never be touched).  God kills him on the spot.  They leave the ark there at Obed-Edom's house.  God blesses Obed-Edom.  I guess they figured there that the ark was always to be carried with poles and not be on a cart.

Abner Joins Forces with David

Abner was accused by Isbosheth (Saul's son that had been appointed king of Israel) of "going in" to his fathers (Saul) concubine.  It never says it is true, but Abner got mad at him so much so that he was afraid for his life.  Abner then send a messenger to David that he would align himself and the kingdom of Israel with him and David said he should come, but to bring his wife Michal (Saul's daughter) with him.  Michal had been promised to David a long time ago, but Saul had given her to another man.  When Abner takes her away, he follows crying in grief until Abner tells him to go home. 

So, David took the kingdom and his wife too.

Wow, Joab kills Abner because Abner had killed his brother Asahel in a different battle.  David said that his kingdom was guiltless of this and that in Joab's house forever there would be someone that was diseased because of what he had done.

Ewwwww.  Two men go murder Ishbosheth and cut off his head and take it to David.  David tells them that the man who reported Saul's death thought it was a good thing and expected a reward.  His men killed him.  Why would these two men think that they had done a good thing by murdering Ishbosheth, Saul's son?  He has his young men kill these two, cut off their hands and feet, and hang them up for all to see.

Our God reigns.  Our God judges sin.  Our God is an awesome God.

David’s Conflict with the Amalekites

The Amalekites burned David's city of Ziklag while him and his men were not there.  They took everyone and their possessions and burned the city. 

David's men saw what happened and they were going to kill him because of their grief.  David strengthened himself in the Lord.

He prayed to the Lord to ask if they should pursue the Amalekites and the Lord said yes.

He had around 600 men with him and 200 were so tired they could not go beyond the Brook Besor, so they stayed to take care of what was left there.

David and his men go recover everyone and everything that had been taken from them and brought it back.  At Brook Besor, the army with David said that these men will get their families but none of the plunder from the Amalekites because they did not go with them.  David said that they would share what the Lord had delivered into their hands.   When he got home, he shared plunder with many kingdoms, so many were blessed, hallelujah.

We hear the preaching all the time that we must live by faith and the Word of God.  Thank you Jesus that Your Word inspires us when we will listen for it.

The Tragic End of Saul and His Sons

The Philistines kill Saul's sons and wound him.  He asks his armorbearer to kill him so he will not be killed at the hand of the Philistines.  His armorbearer cannot do it, so Saul falls on his sword and kills himself.  His armorbearer does the same.

The Philistines took the bodies of Saul and his sons, and David and his men got the bodies back and gave them a proper burial.

¹³ So Saul died for his unfaithfulness which he had committed against the LORD, because he did not keep the word of the LORD, and also because he consulted a medium for guidance. ¹⁴ But he did not inquire of the LORD; therefore He killed him, and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse.

Wow, that pretty much sums up unfaithfulness, can you say amen!

Jonathan had a son named Mephibosheth.  When news broke out about Saul and Jonathan in battle, his nurse was taking him to safety and accidentally dropped him.  He was lame in both his feet.

The Report of Saul’s Death

A man shows up in David's camp saying that he is an Amalekite and he has killed Saul because he was wounded unto death when he came up on him.  David had him executed because he dared to kill someone that the LORD had anointed!

Whether or not you're lying, you stil suffer the consequences.

David Spares Saul a Second Time

Saul pursues David into the woods.  As the Lord causes a deep sleep on Saul's camp, David and Abishai go to Saul's side. Abishai wants to kill Saul but once again David says to not strike the Lord's anointed, so they take his water and spear from near his head.

You would think Saul would get the message to leave David alone.  Sin is always in hot pursuit if we are not serving God and it doesn't matter what the outcome, it's the conquest.  Better watch out what your conquest is.  If it isn't God's purpose for your life, it won't be good.

Saul keeps saying to Samuel - the LORD "your" God.  What's up with that?  When we don't say that God is "my" God, it doesn't have any power in it.  There's a song - Oh God, you are my God, and I will ever praise You. 

Samuel kills Agag (some like to give him the title Agag the fag) and hacks him into little pieces.  He said, "may your mother become childless this day" - well, that pretty much says it.

Now God has totally rejected Saul because he has only done parts of what God wants him to do. 

We must be sold out to God.

David Anointed King

God asks Samuel how long is he going to mourn for King Saul........  Samuel takes a red heifer to Bethlehem for a sacrifice.  God tells him one of Jesse's sons will be anointed king of Israel.  They all pass before him and none are selected.  He asks if there are anymore sons and David is brought in from keeping the sheep.  He is anointed king - scholars say he was probably around 16 years of age.

I don't know what they were prophesying about, it doesn't say, but God gives us powerful inspirations, so it had to be good, hallelujah!

Eli heard that the ark of God had been stolen and his sons were dead.  He fell off the chair he was sitting on and broke his neck because he was old and heavy.

How would things have changed had he listened to the voice of God and repented and disciplined his sons and they repented?  Our day by day decisions are a direct result of our consequences or our blessings.

Ichabod

Phineas' wife was pregnant and when she heard he was dead, she immediately went into childbirth and died.  A woman who was with her at the time of the birth named the child Ichabod and said "The glory of God has departed from Israel!"

Hahahaha, this is cool! 

The first place the Philistines put the ark of God is with their god, Dagon.  The first morning they find Dagon fallen on his face before the ark of the LORD.  They set it back up, and the next day they come in and find Dagon on the ground before the ark of the LORD with its head and hands on the threshhold, only the torso remained.

Then the people were afraid because God's wrath was on them so they sent the ark to Ashdod.  God caused tumors to break out on the men.  So, it went from Ashdod to Gath to Ekron.  God kept the tumor thing going and men were dying and they wanted the ark to go back to the Israelites because it was causing so much trouble for them.

The priests and diviners of the Philistines said to return the ark with a sacrifice of five golden tumors and five golden rats and if the cows pulling the cart go to Beth Shemesh then it was God's wrath.  If the cows go a different direction, the whole thing was just a miscellaneous occurrence. 

The cows went straight to Beth Shemesh.  Isn't it "something" how all that happens.  There are no coincidences with God.

The men of Beth Shemesh offered the cows as a burnt sacrifice and looked into the ark.  God smote them for opening the ark and 50,070 men lost their lives.

So the remaining men at Beth Shemesh told the men at Kirjath Jearim to come get the ark.

Samuel Judges Israel

The ark remained at Kirjath Jearim for 20 years.  The Israelites repented and were gathered in at Mizpah so the Philistines decided to head for Israel and conquer it.  Well, God had other ideas for their plans and struck a huge bolt of thunder and they got all confused and stayed that way and the Israelites drove them out and recovered all their cities.  Samuel was their judge the rest of his life, and Israel was at peace.

Each appointed man from the twelve tribes picks up a stone from the middle of the Jordan River to be a memorial of when they passed over on dry land.

The Lord exalts Joshua as leader as he had Moses.

Amorites and Canaanites hearts melted when they saw the power of God and all the Israelites.

None of the Israelites had been circumcised while wandering in the wilderness (desert) for 40 years so Joshua now gives the order.  The manna that had been sustaining them was no longer available because they were now able to harvest what was in the Promised Land.

Rahab Hides the Spies

Jericho is the first city across the Jordan.  Rahab lives in the wall of Jericho.  The citizens have heard of the power of God and the Israelites and they are afraid of what will happen to their city, so they go out to find the spies that Joshua has sent.  Rahab hides them in the roof of her home and helps them escape.  She believes in God and asks them to spare her and her family when they come to destroy Jericho.  The spies tell her to hang a red cord out her window and whoever is in her dwelling when Jericho is destroyed will live.


Yesterday, I got my first full paycheck in a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggg time.  Let me tell ya, this has been a very dry time in my life, but the hope that is Jesus has kept me free during the times of stress.  Scott will get his first partial paycheck on Thursday.  He is such a blessing in my life.  God has given us to each other to help us grow, kicking and screaming (not really, but maybe), into a higher level of service to Him! 

We are having a Bible study that is title "Dressed to Kill" about wearing the full armor of God, and it has been very insiteful about how sin and Satan are trying to destroy each and every one of us.

I had developed my Along Side cards for Easter plus one other mailer because there were 100 prints for $5.00, a blessing for sure.  Anyway, I didn't have the money to order them until yesterday, 3/21, and, I forgot to order them.  God woke me up at 3:30 a.m. and told me this!  So, I got on the internet, and Snapfish asked me too!  So, even though it was 3/22, I put in the code for the $5.00 prints, and, hallelujah, it was still good!  I didn't have money for stamps, and Along Side sent me enough to get through more than one mailer, hallelujah.  God is so faithful to give me inspiration to make these cards.  I certainly need it, hallelujah.
