The tree of knowledge of good and evil - God told Adam and Eve they could eat freely of the trees of the garden, EXCEPT for the tree of knowledge. If they ate of that tree, they would die. Ah, the sssssssssnake. Always the ssssssssssnake. Has God really saiddddddd. Well, yessssssssss, he really didddddddddd. Why does that EXCEPT word make everything shiny and new? Gotta be careful of EXCEPT.
